There are tons of questions that might be rolling through your head right now. Things on how will your blog or platform will work well.
Ninety-percent (90%) of bloggers will be stunned and pulled out before they get really started. It is important to take it slow and steady when it comes to blogging.
The idea of blogging makes you really excited at first but it will make you confused afterward. You will wonder about the things you need to do first, and sometimes it will leave you guessing and eventually missing tasks that you need to prioritize.
Don’t ever get confused and panicked, always focus on every task if you want to achieve your goals the only secret here is “FOCUS”.
Not everyone succeeds in this path. Just as I have said earlier, we need to be slow and steady. Here are some things to consider that matters most before launching a blog.
Before we dig into blogging and any kind of business set your platform first. Pick your platform (Wix, WordPress, Blogger, Square Space, Joomla, Drupal Jimdo, etc.) and set the name for your site and theme that you want for your platform. Personally, I recommend WordPress.
Choose a simple name that will relate to your niche and a theme that is basic yet elegant. Font style, color, background, and other design elements are all up to you.
You don’t need to spend so much time setting your platform, 20 minutes will do. You can also get a premium type of platform if your budget is not tight, but for a starter, a simple one will do.
Though you have everything set, there are things that you need to consider and decide before you start blogging. You have to define your goals and why do you blog? What is your niche and who is your target audience? You get to enjoy everything in the world of blogging if you know your genre in writing; the topics and issues that you love to tackle and goals that will catch the attention of your target audience.
You get to enjoy everything in the world of blogging if you know your genre of writing, the topics and issue that you love to tackle, and goals that will catch the attention of your target audience.
For instance, if you are a fashion blogger you get to blog about the new trends in fashion and if you are a travel blogger you blog about places to go not about politics or medicine.
Define your goals, and think of the topics that you can post ahead of time, and plan on how will your target audience put their interest in it. Aim for clients as well.
Once you compose a blog, make sure you are interested enough in the topic. I say this because it will be easier to work with if you have a passion for it.
I understand that you will search for resources and consult others about your content, but you always have to put yourself in your blog; your words, writing style, and blog format itself.
You have to be informative, and it should be brief. If possible you need to prevent writing words that will make your blog redundant. Go straight to the point that people will easily understand your thought or the main point of your blog.
This is an important thing that most bloggers forget to do. As a blogger, checking your email is important so you get to know who is interested in your blog and in the information you serve. Even people who want to ask for any services you provide use email.
Make an email list of people who try to connect to you or regularly communicate with you. Also, add people who want your skills and want to pay you for them.
No man is an island. As for us, we cannot start our world in blogging without knowing how to live in it. Communicating with other bloggers will help us build our blog, improve our skills and develop our relationships with other people.
You also get to expand your network, and expose your name out there, and get known, which will also help you build the number of readers and potential clients visiting your blog.
In launching a platform, consider these things and do these tasks properly. You don’t need to rush things. It is no easy task, all you need to do is to focus and have patience on what you are doing, and no one ever achieves their success in an instant.
Plan ahead, make a to-do list, communicate well and enjoy your life as a blogger.
